Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces the identity of the two New Hampshire State Troopers who discharged weapons during a shooting incident on November 20, 2023, in Franklin, New Hampshire that resulted in the death of Nate Landrebe (age 42).

Those two troopers are James Powers, who has approximately 20 years of law enforcement experience, and Aramus Caraballo, who has approximately 8 years of law enforcement experience.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.  It is anticipated that the report regarding the incident and whether the troopers’ use of deadly force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed.  No further updates are expected until the report is released.
