Arrest of Thomas Humphrey for the Murder of Linda Tufts in Goffstown, New Hampshire

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Goffstown Police Chief Eric Sereno announce that Thomas Humphrey (age 47) has been arrested for the murder of his mother Linda Tufts (age 70), which occurred in their home on November 28, 2023, in Goffstown, New Hampshire.

Thomas Humphrey has been charged with one count of second-degree murder, for knowingly killing Linda Tufts by stabbing her.  An arraignment is anticipated to be scheduled for some time on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Northern District, in Manchester.

The charge and allegations against Mr. Humphrey are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
