State of New Hampshire v. Jami L. Marquis

Concord, NH -- Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Jami L. Marquis, age 29, formerly of Concord, New Hampshire, has pleaded guilty to one count of sale of a controlled drug (Subsequent Offense) and one count of conspiracy to sell a controlled drug (Subsequent Offense), and was sentenced in the Merrimack County Superior Court.

On the sale of a controlled drug (Subsequent Offense) charge, Ms. Marquis was sentenced to 12 months in the House of Corrections, stand committed, with the recommendation that she meaningfully participate in the SOAR substance abuse treatment program, which is an intensive, year-long evidence-based drug treatment program. On the conspiracy to sell a controlled drug (Subsequent Offense) charge, Ms. Marquis was sentenced to a consecutive sentence of 2-4 years in the New Hampshire State Prison, fully suspended and conditioned upon her continued good behavior and the successful completion of the SOAR program.

The resolution of this case is the result of a complex, multi-month, cross-border drug trafficking investigation and prosecution conducted by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office in collaboration with the Attorney General's Drug Task Force, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the New Hampshire State Police, the Manchester Police Department, the Concord Police Department, the Plymouth (New Hampshire) Police Department, the Plymouth (Massachusetts) Police Department, the Tyngsborough (Massachusetts) Police Department, and the Massachusetts State Police. Prosecutions of other co-conspirators in this case remain ongoing.
