Haydee Rivera-Nadeau Indictments

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Haydee Rivera-Nadeau, age 65, has been indicted on multiple charges in connection with the shooting death of Lisa Rocheleau, age 54, in Rochester, New Hampshire on May 1, 2023.

On August 18, 2023, the Strafford County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Ms. Rivera-Nadeau with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing Ms. Rocheleau's death by shooting her. The Grand Jury also indicted Ms. Rivera-Nadeau on an alternative count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Ms. Rocheleau under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, by shooting her. Finally, Ms. Rivera-Nadeau was indicted for falsifying physical evidence, in that Ms. Rivera-Nadeau believing that an investigation was pending or about to be instituted, altered, destroyed, concealed, or removed any thing, to wit, by moving and concealing the firearm, with a purpose to impair its verity or availability in such investigation.

Ms. Rivera-Nadeau is scheduled to be arraigned on these charges at 11:00 a.m., on September 6, 2023, in the Strafford County Superior Court.

The charges and allegations against Ms. Rivera-Nadeau are merely accusations, and she is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
