Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes, and Berlin Police Chief Daniel Buteau announce that officials from the Attorney General's Office along with the State Police Major Crimes Unit are at the scene of a suspicious death of an adult male in Berlin, New Hampshire.

At approximately 8:15 A.M., Berlin Police officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots fired outside 568 Sullivan Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male resident outside the building having suffered apparent gunshot wounds. This male was later pronounced dead at the scene. While the investigation is still ongoing, it appears the incident started as a dispute between neighbors.

At this time, investigators believe all parties involved have been identified and there is no threat to the public.

An autopsy will be scheduled and conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The identity of the deceased is not expected to be released until all family members have been notified. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
