Update – Suspicious Death Investigation in Nashua, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke announce that an autopsy has been completed on the body of Joseph Bisson (age 57), who suffered a gunshot wound at 56 Amherst Street in Nashua, on December 2, 2022.

The autopsy was conducted by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg on December 3, 2022. Dr. Weinberg determined that the cause of Mr. Bisson's death was a gunshot wound to the abdomen and head, and that the manner of his death was homicide.

At this point in the investigation, investigators believe they have identified the involved parties and there is no threat to the general public stemming from this incident. The Nashua Police Department is actively investigating all of the circumstances leading up to this incident and the sequence of events.

Anyone with information about the incident, including the recent whereabouts and activities of Mr. Bisson in the hours prior to his death, is asked to call the Nashua Police Department at (603) 589-1665.
