State v. Jacob Abraham – Death of Defendant in Nashua Homicide

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Deputy Chief Kevin Rourke announce that Jacob Abraham (age 28) of 22 Auburn Street, Nashua, New Hampshire died on January 24, 2022 in Concord, New Hampshire. Mr. Abraham suffered a medical event earlier this month while in custody that led to his hospitalization. Mr. Abraham was transferred to hospice care last week and passed away shortly before noon on January 24, 2022.

The Attorney General's Office was prosecuting Mr. Abraham for second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of his grandmother, Cynthia Toupin (age 71), on or about November 4, 2021 in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Due to Mr. Abraham's death, the State will enter an order of nolle prosequi as to the pending charge and discontinue the prosecution against Mr. Abraham for murdering Ms. Toupin.
