Ole Oisin Pled Guilty to Wrongful Voting

Concord - Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Ole Oisin, age 47, of Hopkinton, New Hampshire, pled guilty to two counts of Wrongful Voting – both Class A Misdemeanors – in the 6th Circuit – District Division – Concord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

On the first charge, Mr. Oisin submitted a voter registration form containing false material information, specifically, that his place of birth was "Senegal, Nation of Islam," and his date of birth was "04/19/84." Also, he did not provide information that he was a naturalized citizen. Mr. Oisin was born in Ireland.

For the second charge, Mr. Oisin submitted a domicile affidavit containing false material information, specifically, that he did not provide his actual domicile address, he wrote that his date of birth was "04/2001," and that his place of birth was "Senegal."

On the first charge, Mr. Oisin was sentenced to 90 days at the House of Corrections, all suspended for two years on the condition of his good behavior. The Court also ordered Mr. Oisin to pay a $2,000 fine, with $1,000 suspended for two years.

For the second charge, Mr. Oisin was sentenced to 90 days at the House of Corrections, all suspended for two years on the condition of his good behavior. This sentence is to be served concurrently to the first if imposed.

As a consequence of Mr. Oisin’s election law conviction and pursuant to Part I, Article 11 of the New Hampshire Constitution, his right to vote in New Hampshire is terminated.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Nicholas Chong Yen of the Election Law Unit. The investigation into this matter was conducted by Chief Investigator Richard Tracy of the Election Law Unit.
