Arrest Warrant Issued for Ryan Barden for the Murder of Jared Daly

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Chief Michael Carignan announce that an arrest warrant has been issued for Ryan Barden, age 30, charging him with second-degree murder for causing the death of Jared Daly, age 35, by striking him in the head. Mr. Barden was most recently seen in the Nashua area, but has known ties to Laconia, Tilton, and Belmont, New Hampshire, and Michigan.

Nashua officers found Mr. Daly dead from multiple blunt force injuries to his head on August 11, 2021. It is believed that Mr. Daly was killed during the early morning hours of August 9, 2021.

Mr. Barden is a white male, 5’10”, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has the following tattoos: a Super Mario mushroom character on his left elbow; triangles on his wrist; dots on his left hand; and a tribal tattoo with musical notes on one of his arms. Photographs of Mr. Barden are attached to this release.

Due to the nature of the crime charged, Mr. Barden is considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information about Mr. Barden’s whereabouts is asked to call their local police department or 911.

Anyone with any information about Jared Daly’s death, or who has had contact with Ryan Barden since August 8th, please call the Nashua Police Department and speak with a detective in the Criminal Investigation Division at 603-594-3500.

The charges against Mr. Barden are merely accusations, and Mr. Barden is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
