Bryson Peluso Sentenced for the November 22, 2018 Homicide of Brandon Kluz

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes, and Amherst Police Chief Mark Reams announce that Bryson Peluso (age 30) was sentenced today for killing Brandon Kluz (age 23).

On November 22, 2018, Amherst Police responded to 911 calls from the residence at 19 Baboosic Lake Road in Amherst. Upon arrival, they discovered Brandon Kluz laying on the floor of the kitchen with an apparent gunshot wound to his chest. Ultimately, Brandon was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy later showed that Brandon died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Mr. Peluso was arrested and indicted for second-degree murder for causing Brandon's death. As part of a negotiated resolution, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter on December 8, 2020. The maximum penalty for a manslaughter conviction is 15 to 30 years in the state prison.

At today's sentencing hearing, the defendant argued for a sentence of 4 to 8 years in the state prison, while the State argued for a sentence of 15 to 30 years in state prison. After considering the arguments of the parties and the evidence, the Court imposed a sentence of 14 to 30 years in the state prison.
