Press Briefing on the Officer-Involved Shooting that Occurred December 23, 2020, in Dalton, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young announces that a press briefing will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the NH Fire Academy Administration Building, 98 Smokey Bear Blvd., Concord, NH.

The findings will be released regarding the officer-involved shooting that took place on December 23, 2020, in Dalton, New Hampshire, in which New Hampshire State Police Trooper Matthew Merrill was injured and shot and killed Mark R. Clermont (age 45).

A copy of the final report and the audio recording presented at the briefing will be available on the website, https://www.doj.nh.gov/news/2021, at the start of the briefing.
