Mariano Andres Santos Arrested for Possessing Over 1.5 Pounds of Fentanyl with Intent to Sell
Concord, NH – Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young and State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes announce that Mariano Andres Santos (age 29), of Boston, Massachusetts, was arrested on Friday, February 12, 2021, in North Conway, New Hampshire. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Santos was in possession of approximately 770 grams (1.5 pounds) of fentanyl, which was intended for sale in the area.
Mr. Santos was arraigned today in the Carroll County Superior Court. He is currently being held without bail in preventative detention, pending a further bail hearing to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
The charge and allegations against Mr. Santos are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
