Statement of Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald Regarding House Bill 1264 (Casey, et al. v. Gardner, et al.) Litigation \

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald released the following statement regarding today's filing of a stipulation of dismissal by the plaintiffs in Casey, et al. v. Gardner, et al. in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire:

"The plaintiffs' agreement to dismiss the lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of HB 1264 conclusively affirms the State's position from the outset of this matter.

I commend and thank the attorneys from this Office who represented the State. The Attorney General is duty bound to defend the laws of New Hampshire against such challenges. Senior Assistant Attorney General Anthony Galdieri and Assistant Attorneys General Seth Zoracki and Samuel Garland discharged that duty with exceptional skill and dedication as well as the highest degree of professionalism."
