Additional Charges Filed Against Dale Holloway

Pelham, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, and Pelham Police Chief Joseph A. Roark announce that additional charges have been brought against Dale Halloway, age 37, in relation his actions at the New England Pentecostal Church on October 12, 2019.

Dale Holloway has been arrested for four additional charges: (1) Attempted Murder of Bishop Stanley Choate for aiming a firearm at Bishop Choate and shooting Bishop Choate in the chest with a purpose that a murder be committed, (2) Convicted Felon in Possession of a firearm for his possession and control of a firearm on October 12, 2019, after having been previously convicted of a felony in Suffolk Superior Court in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, (3) Second Degree Assault for recklessly causing bodily injury to Claire McMullen by means of a deadly weapon by shooting Ms. McMullen in the arm, and (4) Simple Assault for knowingly causing unprivileged physical contact with Mark Castiglione by striking him in the head with a firearm.

These four new offenses, as well as the original First Degree Assault charge for knowingly causing bodily injury to Bishop Choate by means of a deadly weapon by shooting Bishop Choate in the chest, are all still anticipated to be scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District in Nashua.

There are no additional updates regarding the condition of Bishop Choate. Claire McMullen is anticipated to be released from a local hospital later today.

The New Hampshire State Police and Pelham Police Department are continuing to investigate this crime. Anyone with information is encouraged the Sergeant Kelly Healey at the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit at the following phone number: 603-MCU-TIPS (603-628-8477).

Finally, as a reminder, crisis counselors will be available for anyone in the Pelham community or the New England Pentecostal Church community up and until 5:00 p.m. tonight at the Sherburne Hall community center in Pelham. Anyone who would like to talk one-on-one with a counselor as a result of this event is encouraged to attend.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
