State v. Paul Dimick

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano announce the indictment of Paul Dimick, age 27, of Manchester, for First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, violating the Armed Career Criminals statute, and Falsifying Physical Evidence.

On December 21, 2018, Mr. Dimick was indicted by the Hillsborough County Grand Jury (Northern District) on one count of First Degree Murder for purposely causing the death of Justin Lee, and one alternative count of Second Degree Murder for recklessly causing the death of Justin Lee under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life. Each of these counts alleges that Mr. Dimick shot Justin Lee killing Mr. Lee. Mr. Dimick was also indicted on one count of the Armed Career Criminal statute for having in his possession or under his control a firearm after having been convicted of three or more proscribed felonies and for Falsifying Physical Evidence by altering, destroying, concealing, or removing the gun that he used to shoot Justin Lee.

Each indictment contains a sentencing enhancement because at the time he committed each crime, Mr. Dimick had been released on bail. Mr. Dimick continues to be held without bail.

Mr. Dimick will be arraigned in the Hillsborough County Superior Court (Northern District) on January 10, 2019 at 9 a.m.

The charges and allegations in each indictment are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
