Update Regarding Death Investigation in Exeter, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, Exeter Police Chief William Shupe, and Director J. William Degnan of the State Fire Marshal's Office announce further information concerning an active death investigation ongoing in Exeter, New Hampshire.

At approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday June 19, 2018, authorities responded to a fire at the Hayes Mobile Home Park in Exeter. Carol Felides, 65, was found deceased inside her mobile home at 66 Hayes Park.

On June 20, an autopsy was performed on Ms. Felides by Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval. Dr. Duval determined that the cause and manner of Ms. Felides's death is pending further investigation.

The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit, the Exeter Police Department, and the State Fire Marshal's Office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire at 66 Hayes Park and Ms. Felides's death.
