Arrest of Tanya McCormack for Drug Sale that caused the Death of Cole McMahon in Wolfeboro on September 1, 2015

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, Department of Safety Commissioner John Barthelmes, and Wolfeboro Police Chief Stuart Chase announce the arrest of Tanya McCormack, age 26, of Effingham for Acts Prohibited relating to the sale of the controlled drug fentanyl.

On July 29, 2016, McCormack was arrested by members of the Wolfeboro Police Department, with the assistance of agents from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, for the sale of fentanyl which caused the death of Cole McMahon on September 1, 2015. The Wolfeboro Police Department has been actively investigating this case since McMahon's death. The charge carries a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison with the possibility of parole.

McCormack will be arraigned at the Ossipee Circuit Court this afternoon.
