Ongoing Investigation in Manchester, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that an investigation is ongoing in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Today, at approximately 4:08 a.m., the Manchester Police Department responded to the report of a shooting at an apartment at 170 Amherst Street in Manchester. When officers arrived, they discovered a deceased adult male inside the building. That adult male has not been identified yet. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine his exact cause and manner of death.

The other person involved in the incident has been identified and located. The investigation is ongoing and active into what led to the incident and the death. At this time, there does not appear to be any risk to the public as a result of this incident.
