New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Amherst Police Chief Mark Reams, announce that an investigation is ongoing into the deaths of an adult female and her adult male son in Amherst.

While conducting a welfare check, the Amherst Police Department discovered the deceased adult male and adult female in their home today. Although the investigation is still in the early stages and ongoing, the two deaths appear to be the result of a murder-suicide.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting autopsies on the deceased to determine their exact cause and manner of death.
