Podiatry License of Edward P. Newcott, D.P.M. Suspended

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that the New Hampshire Board of Registration in Podiatry ("Board") has suspended the podiatry license of Edward Newcott of Pembroke, New Hampshire, effective September 11, 2014.

The Board's action is in response to information gathered during the course of an investigation into Dr. Newcott's infection control practices at Advantage Foot Care in Concord, New Hampshire and in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The Board found that Dr. Newcott's practice, as currently operated, poses an imminent threat to the life, safety, and/or health of his patients.

On September 11, 2014, the Board issued an Order of Emergency Suspension and Notice of Hearing. The order suspended Dr. Newcott's license immediately. A public hearing before the Board is currently scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on September 17, 2014, for the purpose of determining whether Dr. Newcott's license will remain suspended and whether permanent disciplinary sanctions should be imposed.
