March 10, 2014, Officer Involved Shooting in Rochester, New Hampshire

The Attorney General's Office has concluded an investigation in regard to the officer involved shooting of Benjamin Shannon in Rochester, New Hampshire on March 10, 2014.

The findings and conclusions contained in the report are based on information gathered during the investigation including the shooting scene investigation, medical observations of Benjamin Shannon's injuries, autopsy findings, and eyewitness interviews. Based on that information, and for the reasons detailed in the report, New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster has determined that the shooting of Benjamin Shannon was a legally justified use of deadly force by the law enforcement officer who fired at and killed Benjamin Shannon.
