New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Nashua Police Chief John Seusing, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a shooting incident that originated in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Friday, May 2, 2014.

At approximately 4:14 p.m. on Friday, Nashua police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the vicinity of 14 Merrimack Street. When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male and an adult female outside on the ground in front of 16 Merrimack Street. Both appeared to have been shot multiple times with a handgun. The two victims were taken to hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts. The adult male was identified as Andres Garcia (age 35), of Hudson, New Hampshire. He passed away at about 2 a.m. this morning. The adult female was identified as Mireily Rodriguez-Torres (age 32), of Nashua, New Hampshire. She is expected to survive her wounds.

After the shooting, the Nashua police obtained information about the person believed to be the shooter, and tentatively identified him as Carlos Alago-Collazo, age 34, of Nashua, New Hampshire. He and Rodriguez-Torres had been in a relationship off and on for about 15 years and had two children together.

At about 8:40 p.m. last night, a man believed to be Carlos Alago-Collazo was located using cell phone information. He was discovered in a car parked outside of 696 Essex Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and eventually found to have apparently committed suicide. No one else was injured during those events in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting autopsies on Mr. Garcia and Mr. Alago-Collazo tomorrow.

The Nashua Police Department's investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further updates are expected until next week.
