The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is responsible for determining the cause and manner of sudden, unexpected or unnatural deaths falling under its jurisdiction (RSA 611-B:11).

Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is to promote the health and safety of the citizens of New Hampshire by accurately determining the cause and manner of deaths falling under the jurisdiction of the OCME through compassionate, objective, and comprehensive death investigation.
