Autopsy Results in the Homicide of Esmae Doucette

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes announce that an autopsy has been completed on the body of Esmae Doucette (age 23), who suffered a gunshot wound at the Dana Place Apartments on Route 16 in Jackson on November 30, 2022.

The autopsy was conducted by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg. Dr. Weinberg determined that the cause of Ms. Doucette's death was a gunshot wound of the head, and that the manner of her death was homicide.

As previously announced, Brandon Mitchell, age 21, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder for causing Ms. Doucette's death. Mr. Mitchell is currently being held without bail. He is expected to be arraigned on December 5, 2022, in the Carroll County Superior Court, at a time to be determined.

The charges and allegations against Mr. Mitchell are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
