Arrest made related to Suspicious Death in Manchester

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announce that an arrest has been made in connection with the suspicious death that occurred in Manchester, New Hampshire Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 3:24 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, Manchester police officers responded to the area of South Willow and Kaye streets in Manchester, in response to multiple witnesses reporting that a person had been shot in the roadway.  Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered Dzemal Cardakovic, age 45, unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Mr. Cardakovic was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Tyrese Harris, age 22, of Manchester, New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder for: (1) knowingly causing the death of Dzemal Cardakovic, age 45, by shooting him with a firearm; and alternatively, for (2) recklessly causing the death of Cardakovic under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life, to wit, Harris shot Cardakovic with a firearm.

It is anticipated that Mr. Harris will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court in Manchester. A date has not yet been scheduled by the Court.

The charge and allegations against Mr. Harris are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
