Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg announce that Stephanie Beard, age 34, has been indicted by the Hillsborough County – Northern District Grand Jury in connection with the death of John Glennon, age 71, on May 13, 2022, in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Ms. Beard was indicted on one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of John Glennon by causing sharp force injuries with a knife, and one alternative count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing his death under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by causing sharp force injuries with a knife. Ms. Beard was also indicted on one count of theft by unauthorized taking for obtaining or exercising unauthorized control over Mr. Glennon's car.
Ms. Beard continues to be held without bail. Arraignment on these indictments will be scheduled in Hillsborough County Superior Court – Northern District.
The charges and allegations set forth in the indictments are merely accusations, and Ms. Beard is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
