Disclosure of the Names of the Officers Involved in the Shooting Incident in Manchester, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella announces the identity of the officers involved in the shooting incident on Sunday, June 19, 2022, in Manchester, New Hampshire that resulted in the death of Adnan Husejnovic, age 33.

The Manchester Police officers who discharged their weapons were:

  • Sergeant Eric Joyal, who has approximately 12 years of law enforcement experience;
  • Officer Jake Sawtelle, who has approximately 7 years of law enforcement experience;
  • Officer Brendan Megan, who has approximately 1 year of law enforcement experience; and
  • Officer Eric Cooper, who has approximately 5 years of law enforcement experience.

The New Hampshire State Troopers who discharged their weapons were:

  • Trooper Tyler Duhamel, who has approximately 8 years of law enforcement experience; and
  • Trooper Brendan Tallon, who has approximately 4½ years of law enforcement experience.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. It is anticipated that the report regarding whether the officers' use of deadly force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed. No further updates are expected until the report is released.
