Additional Information on Homicides of Stephen and Djeswende Reid – Crimeline Now Authorizes $50,000.00 Reward

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Concord Chief of Police Bradley Osgood announce that the reward facilitated by the Concord Regional Crimeline has increased to $50,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible for the murders of Stephen and Djeswende Reid.

As previously reported, twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) of the reward was donated by an anonymous donor who has pledged the funds for only those who come forward with information within the next 60 days. Five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) of the reward was donated by another anonymous donor. In addition, the Concord Police Patrolmen's Association and Supervisors Association as well as the Retired New Hampshire State Police Troopers Association had contributed to the reward amount.

The Crimeline has now increased their original reward amount by five hundred dollars ($500.00), an additional anonymous donor has donated one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), and fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) has also been donated by an anonymous donor who has pledged those funds for only those who come forward with information within the next 60 days. The additional donations and increases now bring the reward total to $50,000.00.

Investigators are still seeking to identify the person of interest depicted in the sketch released on May 17, 2022. The person of interest is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5'10" tall, medium build, with short brown hair, and clean-shaven. He was seen wearing a dark blue jacket (possibly with a hood), khaki-colored pants, and carrying a black backpack. He was seen in the vicinity of the shooting on Monday, April 18, 2022. Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of this individual is asked to contact the Concord Police Department or the Concord Regional Crimeline.

The investigation to date has revealed that the Reids left their residence in the Alton Woods apartment complex at approximately 2:22 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, April 18, 2022, and went for a walk that led them to the area of the Broken Ground Trails which are off of Portsmouth Street in Concord. Family and friends did not see or hear from them after that. The Reids' bodies were recovered in the early evening of April 21, 2022, from a wooded area in close proximity to the Marsh Loop Trail.

Autopsies conducted by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Mitchell Weinberg determined that the cause of Stephen Reid's death was multiple gunshot wounds, and that the manner of his death was homicide. Dr. Weinberg determined that the cause of Djeswende Reid's death was multiple gunshot wounds, and that the manner of her death was homicide.

The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available, while protecting the integrity of the investigation.
