Extradition of Stephanie Beard

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg announce that Stephanie Beard has been extradited to New Hampshire for the murder of John Glennon in Manchester on May 13, 2022.

On May 13, 2022, an arrest warrant was issued for Ms. Beard, charging her with second degree murder for causing the death of John Glennon by stabbing him in the head with a knife, as well as with theft by unauthorized taking for exercising unauthorized control over Mr. Glennon's car. On May 14, 2022, the Boston Police Department arrested Ms. Beard on the warrant in Boston, Massachusetts, and charged her with being a Fugitive from Justice.

This morning, at a hearing in the South Boston Division of the Boston Municipal Court, Ms. Beard waived her right to extradition proceedings. She has been transported back to New Hampshire to face the charges against her, and an arraignment has been scheduled for June 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Northern District, at 300 Chestnut Street in Manchester.

The Office of the Attorney General and the Manchester Police Department extend their thanks to the Boston Police Department and the Suffolk County, Massachusetts District Attorney's Office for apprehending and detaining Ms. Beard on a fugitive from justice warrant.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
