Additional Information on Homicide in Nashua, New Hampshire

Concord, NH -- Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke announce further information regarding a homicide that occurred early this morning on Marshall Street in Nashua, New Hampshire.

At approximately 1:20 A.M., Nashua Police received multiple 911 calls from 4 Marshall Street in Nashua from several residents. Upon responding to the third floor, police discovered Evangelos Ioannou, age 32, in the hallway suffering from apparent stab wounds. Mr. Ioannou was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval conducted an autopsy of Mr. Ioannou later in the morning. Dr. Duval determined that Mr. Ioannou's cause of death was multiple stab and incised wounds and the manner of death is homicide.

Joshua Shea, age 31, of Nashua has been arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder for recklessly causing Mt. Ioannou's death with extreme indifference to the value of human life by repeatedly stabbing and/or slicing Mr. Ioannou with a knife. An arraignment is expected to be scheduled by the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District for tomorrow, June 8, 2022.
