Autopsy Results for Homicide of Cynthia Toupin in Nashua

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Chief Michael Carignan announce that an autopsy was completed on November 7, 2021, on the body of Cynthia Toupin (age 71). Ms. Toupin's body was found inside her home at 22 Auburn Street in Nashua on November 4, 2021.

The autopsy was conducted by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Mitchell Weinberg. Dr. Weinberg determined that the cause of Ms. Toupin's death was sharp force trauma to the neck, and that the manner of her death was homicide.

Jacob Abraham, the victim's grandson, was arrested for this homicide in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was arraigned this morning as a Fugitive from Justice in Lowell District Court. Mr. Abraham waived formal extradition to New Hampshire this morning, and the Court ordered that he be held without bail pending transport to New Hampshire.

It is anticipated that Mr. Abraham will be arraigned via video in Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District tomorrow. The time of the arraignment has not yet been scheduled.

The charge against Mr. Abraham is merely an accusation, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The investigation is ongoing and active, and no further information is expected to be released at this time.
