Ronald Ciotti Arrested on Acts Prohibited-Death Resulting and Acts Prohibited-Selling or Dispensing a Controlled Drug

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ronald Bonaventura, and North Hampton Police Chief Kathryn Mone announce that Ronald Ciotti, age 42, previously of North Hampton, New Hampshire has been arrested on a charge of causing the death of Nicholas Grandmaison on October 13, 2019, by dispensing or selling Nicholas Grandmaison the controlled drug fentanyl and/or acetyl fentanyl, which Nicholas Grandmaison then injected, inhaled, or ingested, resulting in his death.

Ciotti was arrested for acts prohibited, death resulting, contrary to RSA 318-B:26, IX. The potential sentence for this charge carries a possible maximum term of imprisonment of life in the state prison with the possibility of parole. Ciotti was also arrested for selling a controlled drug, contrary to RSA 318-B:2. The maximum sentence for this charge is up to 7 years in the state prison and a $100,000 fine.

Ciotti is expected to be arraigned on these charges in the Strafford County Superior Court today at noon via WebEx.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
