Sentencing of Kaylee Santos for Selling a Drug that caused the Death of Jonathan Kohli in Nashua on April 9, 2016

Concord, NH - New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Chief Michael Carignan announce that on Monday, September 27, 2021, Kaylee Santos, age 28, was sentenced in the Hillsborough County Superior Court - Southern District for Dispensing a Controlled Drug – Death Resulting in connection with the overdose death of Jonathan Kohli, age 22. Ms. Santos previously pled guilty to the offense in 2020.

Ms. Santos was charged with dispensing fentanyl to Mr. Kohli in April 9, 2016, which Mr. Kohli ingested and which caused him to overdose.

On the charge of dispensing a controlled drug – death resulting, Ms. Santos was sentenced to 5-15 years in the New Hampshire State Prison. Ms. Santos will have the opportunity to earn 2 years off the minimum and maximum portion of her sentence if she completes drug treatment programming while incarcerated, and other certain conditions are met.

This investigation and prosecution was the result of efforts of the Nashua Police Department with assistance from the New Hampshire Department of Justice’s Drug Prosecution Unit.
