Said Yahyapour Indicted on 33 Counts of Theft by Misapplication of Property September 22, 2021

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella announces the indictment of Said Yahyapour, age 63, of Stratham, NH for 33 counts of theft by misapplication of property.

Mr. Yahyapour was indicted in Strafford County Superior Court with 33 class A felony counts of theft by misapplication of property. The indictments allege that between February 12, 2016 and July 18, 2017, Mr. Yahyapour obtained money from various financial institutions, upon agreement, or subject to a known legal obligation to make specified payments to Portfolio Holding, Inc., and recklessly failed to make the agreed upon payments and instead dealt with the money as his own.

The charges are class A felonies and are punishable by up to 7 ½ -15 years at the New Hampshire State Prison and/or a maximum fine of $4,000 for each charge.

Mr. Yahyapour is scheduled to be arraigned on these charges on October 14, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Strafford County Superior Court.

The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and Mr. Yahyapour is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
