Press Briefing on the Officer-Involved Shooting that Occurred on March 31, 2021, in Claremont, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces that a press briefing will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Incident Planning and Operations Center (IPOC) Media Room, 110 Smokey Bear Blvd., Concord, NH.

The findings will be released regarding the officer-involved shooting that took place on March 31, 2021 in Claremont, New Hampshire, in which Jeffrey R. Ely (age 40), was shot and killed by members of the New Hampshire State Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. The troopers involved were: Trooper First Class Nicholas Cyr, Trooper First Class Stefan Czyzowski, Sergeant Gary Ingham, Trooper First Class Shane Larkin, Trooper William Neilsen and Trooper Noah Sanctuary.

A copy of the final report, images and video recordings presented at the briefing will be available on the Department of Justice website, https://www.doj.nh.gov/news/2021, at the start of the briefing.
