Michael Verrocchi Plea Agreement

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Attorney General J ohn For mell a a nnounces that the State has reached a plea agreement with Michael Verrocchi age 43, of Methuen, MA.

On September 17, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury indicted Mr. Verrocchi on one class B felony count of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and one class A misdemeanor count of disobeying a police officer for conduct that took place on November 10, 2012, in which Mr. Verrocchi who was an off duty Salem Police Officer at the time, operated a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed and engaged in a motor vehicle pursuit, failing to stop when signaled to do so by police.

The State and Mr. Verrocchi have agreed that within six months, Mr. Verrocchi shall complete 100 hours of community service, at organizations acceptable to the State As part of the agreement, Mr. Verrocchi shall plead guilty to speeding, a violation level offense, for traveling 60 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

If Mr. Verrocchi remains of good behavior and successfully complies with the terms of this agreement, the State shall enter a nolle prosequi on the count of Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon at the conclusion of six mmonths. The State has agreed to enter a nolle prosequi the count of Disobeying a Police Officer as part of the plea agreement.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Joshua Speicher and Attorney Dan Jimenez of the Criminal Justice Bureau. The investigation into the matter was conducted by members of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
