Ellen M. Arcieri Sworn In as Commander of the New Hampshire Attorney General's Drug Task Force

Concord, NH – Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young announces that Ellen M. Arcieri was sworn in as the Commander of the Attorney General's Drug Task Force on April 9, 2021, following confirmation by Governor and Executive Council on March 24, 2021.

"The Attorney General's Drug Task Force is an essential component of our state's drug interdiction efforts and Commander Arcieri is an exceptional leader who has the experience and expertise to ensure that the Task Force continues its efforts to eliminate illegal drug trafficking across New Hampshire," said Deputy Attorney General Jane Young.

Commander Arcieri most recently served as the Chief of the Brentwood Police Department and has served as a member of law enforcement since 1987. She began her career as a Trooper with the New Hampshire State Police, where she later worked with the Narcotics and Investigations Unit. She ascended through the ranks, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2011. She continued serving as a member of law enforcement with New Hampshire Marine Patrol, and later as the Detective Lieutenant with the Freemont Police Department. Commander Arcieri has also served as a criminal justice educator in both secondary and post-secondary settings.

About the Attorney General's Drug Task Force

The Attorney General's Drug Task Force (DTF) was established in 1986 as a statewide multi-jurisdictional effort to combat the increasing effects illicit drugs were having on the State New Hampshire. The primary mission of the Drug Task Force is to enforce the laws under RSA 318-B and to provide leadership, cooperation, coordination, and support to all local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies related to drug interdiction efforts. The Drug Task Force is made up of investigators from the Attorney General's Office and police officers from local, county and state police departments.
