Arrest Warrant Affidavit Unsealed in the Case of the Deaths of Neal Bolster and Aaliyah Jacobs in Hinsdale in April 2019

Concord, NH – Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young and State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes announce that on March 19, 2021, the arrest warrant affidavit has been unsealed charging Derrick Shippee with two counts of second degree murder in connection with the deaths of Neal Bolster and Aaliyah Jacobs, which occurred in Hinsdale, New Hampshire, on April 11, 2019.

On April 12, 2019, the State sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Shippee based on evidence that Mr. Shippee had murdered both Mr. Bolster and Ms. Jacobs. Mr. Shippee was found deceased later that same afternoon in Vermont. Vermont authorities ruled that Mr. Shippee's death was the result of an accidental drug overdose.

Following Mr. Shippee's death, the investigation continued into the deaths of Mr. Bolster and Ms. Jacobs. Since April of 2019 the New Hampshire State Police and the Hinsdale Police Department have conducted additional interviews and taken other investigative steps. That additional investigation has now been completed and the matter is closed. No additional charges have been sought in connection with this matter. Therefore, the State has now agreed that the Court can unseal the April 12, 2019 arrest warrant affidavit.

A copy of the April 12, 2019, arrest warrant affidavit is therefore attached to this release.
