Autopsy Results on Homicide Investigation in Manchester; Arrest Warrant Issued for Timothy Johnson

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announce that an autopsy was conducted on Jean Lascelle, age 67, who was shot outside of 351 Chestnut Street in Manchester on February 13, 2021.

Medical Examiner Dr. Derek S. Bumgarner has determined that the cause of Mr. Lascelle's death was a gunshot wound to the head and that the manner of his death was homicide.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Timothy Johnson, age 38, charging him with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing Mr. Lascelle's death by shooting him with a firearm.

Mr. Johnson was last seen in front of 351 Chestnut Street at approximately 8:39 a.m. on February 13, 2021, and is believed to be on foot. Mr. Johnson is considered to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. Anyone with information about Mr. Johnson's current whereabouts is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at (603) 668-8711.

When last seen, Mr. Johnson was wearing a tan/light brown overcoat, a light colored watch cap, and a green Molle-style backpack. Mr. Johnson has a distinct tattoo on the left side of his lower neck. Photographs of Mr. Johnson from the time he was last seen are attached, as well as a photo of his face.
