Update on the Officer-Involved Shooting in Meredith, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces additional information regarding the officer-involved shooting incident involving an adult male located at 10 Bennett Drive in Meredith, New Hampshire on November 15, 2020.

The adult male, David Donovan, age 35, was shot by a Meredith Police Officer and died as a result of his injuries after being transported to Lakes Regional General Hospital. An autopsy is scheduled for Mr. Donovan today, November 16, 2020.

Three other individuals sustained injuries at the scene prior to police arrival. One of the individuals, an adult male, was transported for medical treatment and remains hospitalized in stable condition.

No officers have been physically injured and there is no threat to the public. Pursuant to protocol, the name of the officer involved in the incident is being withheld pending the conclusion of the formal interview.

The investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
