Damien Seace Sentenced to Life in Prison for the Murder of Jennifer Burpee

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Carlo T. Capano announce that Damien Seace (age 36), of Manchester, New Hampshire, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, in Hillsborough County Superior Court (Northern District) for the murder of Jennifer Burpee (age 45).

Mr. Seace pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for purposefully causing Ms. Burpee’s death by beating her to death on July 23, 2019, after he broke into her 7th floor apartment at 55 Amory Street. As a result, Mr. Seace was sentenced to the New Hampshire State Prison for life without the possibility of parole.

Attorney General MacDonald said, “Jennifer Burpee endured years of abuse at the hands of Mr. Seace. The abuse culminated in her brutal murder after he broke into her home. Today’s plea ensures that Mr. Seace will never be able to commit another act of domestic violence.”

This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Attorney General Benjamin J. Agati and Assistant Attorney General Scott D. Chase of the Criminal Justice Bureau.
