Update Regarding Suspicious Death Investigation in Belmont, New Hampshire
Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces that additional information is available regarding a suspicious death that occurred on March 16, 2020, in Belmont, New Hampshire.
At approximately 4:26 p.m. on March 16, 2020, the Belmont Police responded to a 911 call at 31 Tee Dee Drive in Belmont. When the police arrived, they discovered a resident, Pamela Murphy, age 62, deceased in her home.
Associate Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Christine James conducted an autopsy on March 17, 2020, and has determined that Mrs. Murphy's cause of death was trauma to her head and neck, and the manner of death was ruled homicide.
The investigation is active and ongoing. However, based on the information known at this time, there does not appear to be a danger to the public.
