Former Bank Manager Britt Landsperger Sentenced for Stealing from Elderly Customer

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces that Britt K. Landsperger, age 46, of Stratham has plead guilty to theft by unauthorized taking and was sentenced to serve 4 to 8 years, with 2 to 4 suspended for a period of five years, to be served at the New Hampshire State Prison and was ordered 100 hours of community service on Friday, January 31, 2020 in Rockingham County Superior Court.

Ms. Landsperger also plead guilty to four additional counts of theft by unauthorized taking and was sentenced to 5 to10 years at the New Hampshire State Prison, all suspended for 5 years from the date of her release. The suspended sentences are to be served concurrently with one another and consecutively to the stand committed sentence. Suspension of the sentences is conditioned upon good behavior and having no contact with the victim, C.M., age 69.

An investigation revealed that between 2013 and 2018, Ms. Landsperger obtained or exercised unauthorized control over money from seven bank accounts belonging to C.M., with a purpose to deprive the victim thereof, and the value of the money removed from each account exceeded $1,500. The total value of the money taken from all of C.M.'s accounts was $94,302.96. Restitution to the victim has been made in full by TD Bank.

During the course of the thefts, Ms. Landsperger was a manager of the bank and C.M. was a customer.

This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Attorney General Brandon H. Garod, chief of the Consumer Protection Bureau and was a result of a joint investigation conducted by Attorney General's Office, along with the Portsmouth Police Department and TD Bank.
