Press Briefing on the Officer-Involved Shooting that Occurred on August 1, 2019, in Weare, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces that a press briefing regarding the August 1, 2019 officer-involved shooting incident in Weare, New Hampshire will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at the Weare Public Safety Complex, located at 144 N Stark Highway in Weare.

The purpose of the briefing is to announce the findings regarding the officer-involved shooting that took place on August 1, 2019, in Weare, in which a police officer shot and wounded Jeffrey Clough-Garvin (age 43). Thereafter, Mr. Clough-Garvin shot and killed himself. The briefing will include police video recordings of the armed encounter between Jeffrey Clough-Garvin and law enforcement.

The final report and the video recordings presented at the briefing will be available following the conclusion of the presentation on the New Hampshire Department of Justice website, www.doj.nh.gov.
