Attorney General's Charitable Trusts Unit Report on the Withdrawal of Littleton Hospital Association, Inc. from North Country Healthcare, Inc.

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Attorney General's Charitable Trusts Unit announces the release of its Report on the Withdrawal of Littleton Hospital Association, Inc. from North Country Healthcare, Inc. Portable Document Format Symbol The report is attached.

The report describes the terms of the 2016 affiliation agreement among the four North Country hospitals as well as the challenges that still exist to provide health care to residents in the region. The report concludes that LRH may withdraw from NCH without objection from the Charitable Trusts Unit, but only if certain conditions are met. Those conditions include payment of a withdrawal fee to NCH as well as continued support for North Country Home Health and Hospice, Friendship House, the Littleton Doorway, and other health initiatives in the North Country. LRH has agreed to comply with these conditions. The Charitable Trusts Unit will provide additional oversight to these organizations as they move forward independently to serve the health care needs of the North Country.
