Homicide Investigation in Derry, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, and Derry Police Chief Edward B. Garone announce that detectives are conducting a homicide investigation at 151 Bypass 28 in Derry, New Hampshire.

At approximately 12:03 a.m. on August 10, 2019, Derry Police were routed a 911 call from the residence at 151 Bypass 28 in Derry. Upon arrival at the home, responding officers discovered a resident of the home, Ellen Munstis, age 74, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has scheduled Mrs. Munstis's autopsy for 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2019.

At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat of danger to the public. Additional information will be released as it becomes available while still maintaining the integrity of the investigation. A further news release is expected this afternoon.
