Additional Details in the Investigation of Suspicious Deaths in Concord, New Hampshire

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Concord Police Chief Bradley Osgood announce that autopsies were conducted on Pal Darjee (age 81) and Lila Darjee (age 47), who were found deceased inside their apartment in Concord on Friday, July 19.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval has determined that the cause of Lila Darjee's death was multiple sharp and blunt penetrating injuries of the head, neck, and torso, and the manner of death was homicide. The cause of Pal Darjee's death was a single stab wound to the heart, and the manner of death was suicide.

Although the investigation into the circumstances surround these two deaths remain active and ongoing, at this point in the investigation it appears that Pal Darjee killed Lila Darjee, and then he killed himself.
