Attorney General's Election Day Hotline, Poll Inspections Results
Concord, NH -- New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald reports on the Attorney General's Election Day Operations which took place on November 6, 2018 election.
A team of more than 70 attorneys, investigators, and staff from the Attorney General's Office and Secretary of State's Office were deployed to polling locations across the state.
They inspected 98% of New Hampshire's polling places, visiting 302 out of 309 total locations. In the 2016 General Election, approximately 76% of all polling locations were visited.
The Attorney General's Election Hotline received 185 unique calls during the day Tuesday. The Election Hotline received 120 calls during the Primary Election on September 11, 2018.
148 calls were resolved on Tuesday and 37 require additional review to determine if further action is needed.
Routine issues or concerns were quickly remedied with support from inspectors in the field or attorneys on the Election Hotline.
The Attorney General's Election Day Operations were led by Assistant Attorney General Matthew Broadhead and Chief Investigator Richard Tracy of the Election Law Unit and Associate Attorney General Anne Edwards.
