Body Discovered in Rindge, New Hampshire Identified

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner announce further information regarding the body of the deceased male found off of Route 119 in Rindge on July 10, 2018.

New Hampshire's Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Jennie V. Duval, has determined that the deceased is Brandon Chicklis, age 20, of Westminster, Massachusetts. Dr. Duval has also determined that the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death is being withheld pending further investigation.

On July 10, 2018, the Rindge Police Department received a report of a possible body located alongside Eastbound Route 119 in Rindge. A private citizen jogging in that area made the report to law enforcement. The New Hampshire State Police conducted a search of the area and Mr. Chicklis's body was located near the roadside.

The circumstances that led to Mr. Chicklis's death are under investigation. Investigators are seeking anyone with information on this crime, as well as anyone who may have made the following observations:

  • Anyone who saw Mr. Chicklis or knew of his activities on Saturday, June 23, 2018. A recent photograph of Mr. Chicklis  J-Peg fileis attached to this news release;
  • Anyone who saw any motor vehicle stopped on the eastbound side of Route 119, east of its intersection with Route 202, specifically between the intersections Route 119 with North Street and East Main Street in Rindge, anytime between June 23 and June 25, 2018; and
  • Anyone who saw Mr. Chicklis's vehicle, a gray, 4 door Honda Civic with Massachusetts license plate "7NA 723" from June 23 through 25, 2018. It is believed that his car travelled to Rindge, New Hampshire from the area of Westminster, Massachusetts sometime between those dates. This car was later found at the Hannaford Supermarket parking lot on US 202 in Rindge by the New Hampshire State Police. Photographs of Mr. Chicklis's rear license plate J-Peg fileand a Honda Civic J-Peg file of the same make, model, and color are attached to this news release.
