Autopsy Results - Homicide Investigation in Nashua

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Nashua Police Chief Andrew J. Lavoie announce further information concerning an investigation in Nashua, New Hampshire that began on July 8, 2018.

Just after midnight on July 8th, Nashua Police responded to a 911 call at 19 Buck Street for a reported deceased male. Upon arrival, they discovered David Smith, age 49, deceased inside his home.

On July 9th, an autopsy was performed on Mr. Smith by Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval. Dr. Duval determined that Mr. Smith’s cause of death was a single gunshot wound and the manner of death was a homicide.

The homicide is an active investigation. Anyone with information on this crime or who interacted with Mr. Smith on Saturday, July 7, 2018, is asked to call Lt. Craig Allard at 603-594-3500. The public may also report information anonymously to the Nashua Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
